Three members of a family in Ramailo Tole, Kankai-1, Jhapa district, were found dead in their home.
The suicide suspects are Rabin B
ishwakarma, 40, and his wife Muna Bishwakarma, 29. Their 8-month-old daughter, Rubina Bishwakarma, was also found dead, according to the Jhapa District Police Office (DPO).
Jhapa’s DPO, Rakesh Thapa spokesman, said they were found hanged in their house this morning. Thapa’s spokesman added that Muna had her daughter hanging from her chest and was found hanging from a shawl.
The dead Rabin, an overseas job seeker, tested positive for COVID-19. He had returned home from Kathmandu after testing positive for coronavirus, according to locals.
Rabin was an agent for a recruitment firm, according to locals. The cause of the suicide has not been determined, police said, adding that they are investigating the matter.
